The six-step process to new website copy

Square one

After we natter about your current web copy (or lack of) during a discovery call, I’ll send you a project proposal with details like the price, timeline, and deliverables.

Your first draft

Receiving your first draft is SO exciting, but there might be some parts you don’t love - and that’s okay. This is your chance to review your copy and provide feedback so I can polish it.

If you’ve got a big project, I’ll let you know whether it will be easier to send over 2-3 pages at a time to keep things rolling. (Nothing says overwhelming like trying to review pages and pages of copy in your already busy week.)

Homework time

Picture this: the contract is signed and we’re ready to go. The first thing you’ll need to do is fill out a Brand Questionnaire to give me all the details about your business and audience. We’ll then organise a 90-minute Clarity Call where we’ll delve into how you want your brand to sound and what you’re hoping to say.

Finishing touches

After I spend some time fine-tuning, I’ll send over your copy and Messaging Spellbook with an explainer video to help you and your web designer with the next steps.

If you spot anything that needs tweaking, there’s still time for a round of light edits.

Sneak peek

I’ll revert to my nerdy self and spend some time researching your customers and competitors. Then I’ll send a sneak peek of your Messaging Spellbook and some copy snippets so you can check I’m headed in the right direction.

The final (final) draft

Once we get any light edits ticked off, your copy is finally all yours. Handle with care🥰

Just so you know: you’ll receive your copy in the form of a neat Google doc. Your Messaging Spellbook will be sent as a PDF in your branding and a Google doc.
