A campaign to address the challenges of student life
As internal project manager for this campaign, I collaborated with Glassup & Stoski to develop a visual identity suitable for undergraduate students.
We opted for vibrant, abstract illustrations to explore complex mental health topics.
Using illustrations avoided cliché photography (you know, the classic person holding head in hands shot) or the need to include real people in any assets.
After working with students and internal stakeholders to identify important mental health topics to weave into the campaign plan, I began crafting assets with their accompanying copy.
The tone of voice aligned with the University’s values of inclusion, inspiration, and integrity; however, the campaign had a distinctive personality.
The copy was kind and honest - never denying the difficulties of student life - yet optimistic about the power of accessing support to prevent mental health needs becoming a crisis.
